2021 Season Information

Registration is OPEN for the 2021 Little League Season

Here is the current plan for Sisters Little League--

Fees--
all fees have been reduced to $50/player.  This is for T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Minor/Major/Junior Baseball and Softball.   Included in this fee, will be a uniform shirt and hat for your player.  SLL will NOT be providing pants/socks/belts as we have in the past for Minor/Major/Junior Baseball & Softball.  It is our intent to reduce the cost to families during this pandemic.

Safety-- Sisters Little League and the other District 5 Leagues we play games with, will be following current local and state COVID-19 guidelines for Outdoor Youth sports.  This includes screening participants for symptoms, regular sanitation, limited use of group equipment, and mask wearing by coaches and participants during practices.  Players are encouraged to provide their own gloves, bats, and batting helmets.  We are committed to keeping our youth, families, and communities safe.  All District COVID information is posted under the "COVID" tab on our home page.
All volunteers are background checked prior to having contact with our youth.

Teams--  Based on the number of registered players, SLL is planning to offer the following teams
T-Ball:  co-ed, ages 4-7, play locally against other SLL teams
Coach Pitch:  co-ed, ages 6-10, play locally against other SLL teams
Minor/Major/Junior Baseball (Player Pitch):  Boys, ages 8-14, games will be played with other Leagues in our District.  Games could be in Warm Springs, Madras, Culver, Redmond, Prineville, Bend or LaPine, as well as home games in Sisters.  Practices will be in Sisters.  The schedule will be determined after registration is closed and games are scheduled with other leagues based on the teams each league is able to field.
Minor/Major/Junior Softball (Player Pitch):  Girls, ages 8-14, games will be played with other Leagues in our District.

Coaching-- All teams are coached by SLL volunteers.  Coaches are typically parents of players.  The coaching staff for teams will be determined after registration closes and the teams are determined.  If you have interest in coaching your child's team, please let us know.

Practices--  Practice schedules will be determined based on coach's schedules (remember, they are volunteers with real jobs!) and field availability.  We understand there may be conflicts with other sports that are opening back up and having spring seasons.  We will do our best to ensure that players are able to participate in all activities of their choice.

Tournament/All-Star Information--  Oregon Little League District 5 plans to have tournament (All-Star) play following the end of the regular season.  This is for Minor/Major/Junior divisions of Baseball and Softball.  Sisters Little League participates in tournament play when we have enough players to field a team.  Players in these divisions are encouraged to keep their schedules open following the end of the season (and school year) in order to participate.

More information--  Sisters Little League is a Charter of Little League International.  We comply with all LLI regulations, including age divisions and game rules.  For more Little League specific information, you can visit the LLI website.

Sisters Little League is an ALL volunteer run organization.  We rely on PARENTS and community members to keep the organization moving.  If you would like to volunteer (Board member, coach, umpire, field maintenance, etc.) please reach out to a current board member or check the appropriate box on your player's registration.

We are looking forward to bringing baseball and softball back to the fields in Sisters this spring.  This season will look different than seasons in the past.  We appreciate your interest in registering your player and ask for your patience and grace as we navigate a new normal with new regulations and guidelines.

GO OUTLAWS!
