FRISCO, Texas (June 11, 2019) – US Youth Soccer is proud to announce the schedule for the 2019 US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships to be played June 21-26 at Saginaw Township Soccer Complex in Saginaw, Mich.

The US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships, which will feature top teams in the 13U through 19U age groups, kick off with round robin games Friday, June 21, through Sunday, June 23. Following a day of rest, semifinal matches are Tuesday, June 25, and finals are Wednesday, June 26.

US Youth Soccer State Cup Champions, National League Conference teams and wildcards from 14 US Youth Soccer State Associations in the Midwest Region, including host Michigan State Youth Soccer Association, will participate. The other state associations represented include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio North, Ohio South, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. This year, Pennsylvania - West will also be represented with teams from the National League Conferences. 

Teams competing in the Regional Championships advanced through the first step of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, where more than 10,000 teams began their journey at the US Youth Soccer State Championships. State champions advance to the one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships, where over 900 teams compete. 

Regional winners of the 13U through 19U age groups earn a berth to the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships, July 22-28, at the Overland Park Soccer Complex in Overland Park, Kan. One of the 14 national crowns awarded is the James P. McGuire Cup, the oldest trophy in youth sports, dating back to 1935 with the inaugural youth championships. 

The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series is the country's oldest and most prestigious national youth soccer tournament. The event provides more than 185,000 players from US Youth Soccer's 55 state associations the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation, while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play. The Series is known as the ultimate destination for the country's collegiate soccer coaches and the future of soccer.
