Message from the President

In 2014, beginning of the year, we created a new League with several goals in mind. Our goals were to promote harmony between Organizations and to get away from the bickering and become a family again. We felt that we needed to break the habit of individual Associations only looking at what is best for their Association and not what’s best for all Associations in the League.

Being unable to achieve our goals where we were, we looked for alternatives elsewhere. In 2018 we became, the Upstate New York Charter of American Youth Football and Cheer. In this new League, our goals will be to provide a safe environment at all levels of play in football and cheer; to stress good sportsmanship; academics and good citizenship.

We would also like to strengthen and grow our Football and Cheer programs in the process.

This new affiliation allows us to obtain more teams to play, whether they are local or National programs. It allows us flexibility on letting more kids play in the Unweighted Divisions, who previously could not. It allows us to choose Regional and National post-season play at Football and Cheer. We can also submit a National All-Star team from our League to participate at all competitive levels, if we choose to do so.  There is a Regional All-star Team for up to 4 of our 8th grade seniors to participate, if nominated. The Cheer program offers us more opportunity for our Cheer, Dance and Step teams to compete for National titles, with less restrictions and more variety.

I’m excited about our new League and our affiliation with American Youth Football and Cheer.

We would love to have anyone that’s interested join our family!“Come join the fun and grow with us!”
