The third annual Somerville Little League knockout raffle will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Union Tavern (formerly P.A.'s Lounge) in Union Square. To buy a ticket, please email Mark Antonelli. You may pay by Venmo (@Somerville-Baseball) or check (to Somerville Little League). Please note: You don't have to attend the raffle drawing to participate. 

Here's how it works:

We're hoping to sell 100 tickets at the price of $100 each. That makes for a total of $10,000.*

Of that $10,000 total, $4,500 will go to Somerville Little League. That leaves $5,500 for raffle prizes.

During the raffle drawing, participants are eliminated until there is one grand-prize winner. The host selects numbered tickets at random. The owner of the first ticket chosen comes in 100th place. The host continues to choose numbered tickets at random until there is one ticket left. That participant comes in first place.

There is a $5,000 grand prize. The final 5 participants remaining will have an opportunity to split this prize (in which case, they each leave with $1,000). So when purchasing a ticket, please specify if and when you'd like to split. 

The breakdown of prizes is as follows:

• 100th place: $200
• 75th place: $100
• 50th place: $100
• 25th place: $100
• 1st place: $5,000 (or split 5 ways)

* If we sell fewer than 100 tickets, the prize amounts will be reduced accordingly.
