·       How do I register for Baseball?
o   Spring Registration is done either by signing up Online, or by coming out to the office located at Love Hatbox Sports Complex Office, 3601 Arline St., Muskogee, OK, 74402. Which is located in the softball complex, across from the water park. Call or visit during regular business hours to be posted, please call in advance. LHBX ACCEPTS Credit or Debit Card, Check, and Cash.

·       What is required to sign up for Baseball?
o   You will need to provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate. There is no physical required. Payment is required at registration.

·       What do I do after I sign-up for baseball?
o   If the player is a new player that is not returning to, or does not have a team, your child will be assigned to a team in random order. If your child would like to play for a certain coach or be on the same team as a friend you will be given an opportunity to note that in the registration. LHBX will attempt to honor as many of those requests as possible but LHBX cannot guarantee that all requests will be granted. We make every attempt to place players with coaches that will take them, but it is not always a fast process. Your new coach will contact you to tell you, that you have been placed on a team. Also, inform you of any additional information like practice times and place.

·       Where will the practices be held?
o   Every team practices at different times and locations. Attempts are made by LHBX to assign players to a team that best fits their needs.  Your coach will let you know where your specific practice field is located.

·       When are the games and game times?
o   The Spring Season will have games scheduled from late April to the End of June. Games may be played Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday with game times starting at 6:00 PM. Additional days may be used for league games for Rain-outs. Your team may be scheduled to play 2 games per week.  Spring Schedule will be published by Early April. Game days will not be determined until after registration for Spring is complete and field usage is assessed.

·       What about uniforms?
o   Each team is responsible for their own uniforms

·       Does it cost to attend my child’s game?
o   LHBX does not charge a gate admission for Regular Season League Games. Preseason and Post Season League Tournaments will charge a gate fee.If your team chooses to participate in a LHBX Tournament, then a gate fee is charged for those games. The Tournament Gate Charges are a daily rate, so if your child has several games during the same day of the tournament, payment is only required once for that day.
§  Gate Fee:
Students $1- 1st Grade to 17 years old
Adults $3- 18 and up years old

·       Why does our team have to pay Gate Admissions for League Pre/Post Season Tournaments?
o   Tournament games are EXTRA games that are not formulated into the League Fees.  They are optional and by your team entering the tournament, they are opting to play more games, thus a fee for that.  LHBX has costs for hosting a tournament, additional man hours, additional umpire pay, additional field usage payments, and trophy costs.

·  What if it is raining outside on our game day?
o   Love Hatbox Sports Complex does not make a decision on canceling games until 3pm. It is our policy to play games if at all possible.
o   We will use Facebook and the Remind APP for Rainouts and notifications
§  Details coming soon!

·       Are pets allowed at the Ballpark?
o   NO. Pets of any size or breed are NOT allowed at Love Hatbox Sports Complex. This is a City Ordinance that LHBX strongly upholds. If you are found at the ballpark with a pet, you will be asked to leave the playing area. This is for the safety of the players, fans, and for your pet. Please do not bring pets to the ballpark.

·       Are Coolers or Ice Chests allowed at the ballpark?
o   Limit 1 cooler/ice chest per team. There are concession stands at the ballpark and the revenue generated from those stands assists the program in attempting to keep the costs lower for registrations.  Please support your ballpark concessions to generate revenue for further park development and improvements.

·       Is Tobacco at the ballpark?
o   NO Tobacco Use; City Ordinance.

Pick up your trash in the dugouts, stands and the parking lot, and please always monitor your children while at the ballpark. Teach your child good sportsmanship. Assist your child’s Coach/Team in any way you can. Take an active role in your child’s sports. Be a good spectator.

We, the Love Hatbox Sports Complex, have implemented the following Sport Coach/Parent/Spectator Code of Conduct for the important message it holds about the proper role of parents in supporting their child in sports. Coaches/Parents/Spectators should read this form prior to their children participating in our league.

Any persons guilty of improper conduct at any game or practice will be asked to leave the sports facility and be suspended from the following game. Repeat violations may cause a multiple game suspension, or the season forfeiture of the privilege of attending all games.

Preamble
The essential elements of character building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles:
Trustworthiness
Respect
Responsibility
Fairness
Caring
Good Citizenship

The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these six pillars of character.
I therefore agree
I will not force my child to participate in sports.
I will remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for youth, not adults.
I will inform the coach of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my child or the safety of others.
I will learn the rules of the game and the policies of the league.
I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game, practice or other sporting event.
I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent such as booing and taunting; refusing to shake hands; or using profane language
I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well being of the athletes.
I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
I will demand that my child treat other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, color, sex or ability.
I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game or his/her performance.
I will praise my child for competing fairly and trying hard, and make my child feel like a winner every time.
I will never ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for making a mistake or losing a competition.
I will emphasize skill development and practices and how they benefit my child over winning. I will also de-emphasize games and competition in the lower age groups.
I will promote the emotional and physical well- being of the athletes ahead of any personal desire I may have for my child to win.
I will respect the officials and their authority during games and will never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game field, and will take time to speak with coaches at an agreed upon time and place.
I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and I will refrain from their use at all sports events.
I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices, unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.
