Spring Season Postponement Update

As we are headed into April vacation week and what is typically our opening weekend for most leagues, Stoneham Little League felt it was important to share the following information with our families.

Under the guidance of Little League International, we have decided to postpone all Little League activities until at least May 11th. We will continue to work closely with Little League International as well as our local town and state officials, and SLL will not begin activities until we are allowed to do so.
The safety of the children in our program, as well as the many volunteers and families that support us, will continue to be out number one priority.   Our goal is to still have a season, however, what that season will look like is still unknown.

We have been in communication with our local district administrator, as well as surrounding towns, and we are all in agreement that being able to salvage some type of season is vitally important for our children as we attempt to resume our lives in what will become our "new normal". These children have already had enough taken away from them with school, graduations, proms, birthday parties etc. Therefore, we are going to do our best to provide them with a baseball season.

Our hopes is that we can begin on May 11th, but if not, we are prepared to adjust the schedule and have a summer season, or even a fall season if that's what it takes.

We ask that you all have patience and we will provide you with updates as they become available. Please like our Stoneham Little League Facebook page to see additional updates as well as some tips and drills we will be posting to help your children prepare for the upcoming season.
