We hope this communication finds you, your family and friends healthy and staying safe. We wish to extend our sincere thanks and best wishes to all our medical and first responders who are on the front-line fighting COVID-19, many of whom are members of our Little League family.
Stoneham Little League’s goal is to begin our “Spring Season” on July 1st and complete it by the end of August. That is providing that state and local officials have lifted the “stay-at-home” advisory and indicated activities such as Little League can resume. We have created this survey to get a better understanding of what the season will look like. Giving the circumstances of the “new normal”, our typical league structure may not look the same as it always has and that’s where we need your help. We understand that some families may be hesitant to have their child play this year, or due to medical issues, cannot have their child play this summer. We are asking that each family complete this survey by Sunday May 23rd so we can plan accordingly. Again, our season will only begin when we are advised it is SAFE to do so.
While we are still determining what the new SAFE will look like, it is the intent of the Stoneham Little League Board of Directors to meet or exceed the guidelines that are being developed by the CDC, State and Local governmental units, as well as Little League International, relating to the likes of social distancing and sanitization.
It is the Board’s desire to return to the fields as soon as possible under as near normal and SAFE conditions as possible and continue to provide our players with challenging, fun filled, lifelong memories. We will continue to provide updates as needed and request your patience’s and understanding in these unusual times.
