OPENING DAY AT ELM STREET

It was opening day Saturday for Elm Street Little League at the Charles L. Albert Jr. Field. Three girls softball teams kicked off the season and, between games, the opening ceremonies were held.The 2018 season was dedicated to Patricia Thompson, who also serves as vice president of the league.Charlene Davis sang the National Anthem; City Manager Dale Martin announced the teams; Pastor John Coverdell gave the welcoming address.
