As we get ready for another great season, the safety and
well-being of our players continues to be our top priority. To help ensure a positive and secure
environment for everyone, Little League® requires all volunteers to complete two (2) free online training courses and one (1) paid course before participating in league
activities.
Required for All
Volunteers
Anyone planning to volunteer at the snack stand or serve as
a coach (including assistant coaches) must complete the following training
courses:
Diamond Leader Training
https://www.littleleague.org/diamondleader/
This course is good for life – once completed,
you will not need to complete again
Abuse Awareness Training
https://www.littleleague.org/university/articles/abuse-awareness-training-course/
This
course needs to be completed annually
Additional
Requirement for Coaches
In addition to the above, all Head and Assistant Coaches
must also complete:
Rutgers Youth Sports Safety Clinic (provided by Rutgers University)
https://youthsports.rutgers.edu/safety-clinic-course/
This is the only paid course – but it
is good for life and will not need to be completed again and is required for most youth sport coaches (not just baseball)
Please note that these training courses are required by Little
League® and must be completed before participating in practices, games, or working in the
snack stand.
If you plan to volunteer this season, we kindly ask that
you complete the courses as soon as possible.
We truly appreciate your time and cooperation. These steps
help us maintain a safe, supportive, and fun experience for all of our players
and families.
