Currently, the SCCS Lacrosse program is only available for boys, grades 3 - 8. The program is a developmental program and teams are combined from all Stark County Catholic Schools. Based on the number of athletes enrolled, some may be asked to "play up" at a higher level to create complete teams. The intent of the program is to divide into the following divisions:
- Grades 3 and 4
- Grades 5 and 6
- Grades 7 and 8
The lacrosse program was founded to teach the fundamental skills of lacrosse, provide a rewarding team experience, and prepare our youth for high level competition. Our program is designed to develop our young athletes to become complete lacrosse players with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of the game. We do this by stressing individual skills within the team play concept. Athletes will learn the fundamental skills of throwing, catching, cradling, dodging and shooting, using methods designed to maximize repetitions and opportunities for improvement.
Attendance to practices and games is expected and necessary to build on the team concept. It is understood that players may be involved in other activities and will miss occasionally. However frequent absences due to conflicts with other sports will affect the players game time and or roster placement.
- Pre-season training will typically begin in January through March, once per week indoors (when available). The Regular season begins mid-March and runs until the end of May.
- Regular season practices will occur 3 times per week beginning at 5:30 pm and usually run approximately 90 minutes depending on light, temperatures and game schedule. Practices are typically located at Central Catholic High School.
- April and May are game heavy with several games per week.
- In addition to regular season games, the programs will participate in multiple tournaments.

Cost: Fee to be determined based on number of participants.
Athletes are required to provide their own gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, lacrosse stick and mouth guard. Helmets and jerseys will be provided.
