Bats Show up in 9-11 Plumas Lake All-Stars win against 10-11 Olivehurst-Linda All-Stars
Bats were blistered as PLAS 9-11 defeated OLAS 10-11 on Friday June 30, 2023 at Live Oak Little League.
PLAS 9-11 didn't take the lead until later in the game. They were down 12-13 in the top of the fifth inning when Harrison singled, scoring three runs. PLAS jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Kevin scored on a fielder's choice, Manvir doubled, scoring one run. Julian got a triple scoring three runs and then Carter doubled, scoring one run. OLAS 10-11 flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring either runs on nine hits to take a 8-6 lead. Kevin singled, which helped PLAS tie the game at eight in the top of the second inning. PLAS tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a double by Max which then lead to a steal of home. PLAS flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth inning scoring five runs on two hits to take a 15-13 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Harrison on the sixth pitch of the at-bat that drove in three. Miles pitched four and one-third innings in relief, Carter stepped on the hill first for PLAS.
PLAS amassed 12 hits in the game. Ben led with three hits in three at bats. Julian and Kevin each drove in three runs. Christian collected two hits in four at bats. PLAS had a strong eye at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Jayden and Miles led the team with two walks each. PLAS ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game.
