The NKWLL Community

As you know, we received some encouraging news from the Governor this week regarding youth sports in RI.  Phase 2 begins June 1st and will allow groups of 15 people or fewer to get together, with restrictions, to practice or work out.  NKWLL is embracing this news and actively putting together our program to start playing baseball again.  Over the next week or so, we will be finalizing the names of all those who have decided that they will still play this season.  If you haven’t already done so, please let us know if your child will be playing in NKWLL this season by completing this survey https://forms.gle/dAAuJgJJ1J6PEEiv8 .  Our major and AAA coaches will be holding a draft to put together teams.

For the month of June, we will only hold individual team practices, keeping the numbers at 15 or fewer who attend.  We will follow the safety guidelines set forth by LLB, the State and our Town, to ensure the safety of all our children and coaches.  These guidelines can be found on our website.  We anticipate that actual games will start in early July when Phase 3 begins.  It is very important that everyone in the NKWLL community follow these guidelines to keep all involved healthy and safe.  Here is a webinar that was put out by Little League Baseball  https://www.littleleague.org/videos/2020-season-resumption-guide-webinar-return-to-play-coronavirus-mitigation-best-practices/?utm_source=resource%20guide%20-%20may&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=season%20resumption%20webinar

We will continue to provide updates.  Please contact us if you have questions.
