Marc Clark

Marc Adam Clark is entering his fourteenth-year coaching and his first year as the head football coach at McCracken County High School.  Prior to accepting the position at MCHS, Coach Clark was the head football coach at Hopkinsville High School.  During his tenure at HHS, the football program increased win totals each year, as well as saw an increase in player participation and community relations with the football program.  In his last two years at Hopkinsville, the Tigers went 20-4 and set numerous school records both offensively and defensively.  Coach Clark was acknowledged by the Kentucky Football Coaches Association as the District 1 Coach of the Year in 2014, 2015, and 2016.  He was also voted at the Western Kentucky Football Coaches Association at the 2016 Coach of the Year.  In his six seasons at Hopkinsville, Coach Clark had over ten student-athletes sign letters of intent to continue their football career collegiately.  Coach Clark help to implement a strength and conditioning program that led to five state powerlifting championships and his teams only lost 1 powerlifting meet that they competed in during his 6 years.

Prior to accepting the Head Coaching position at Hopkinsville, Coach Clark served as an assistant at Louisville Male High School in 2010.  The Bulldogs had an 11-4 campaign that yielded a State Runner-Up in the 6A classification.  Prior to accepting the Head Coaching position at Hopkinsville, Coach Clark served as an assistant at Louisville Male High School in 2010.  The Bulldogs had an 11-4 campaign that yielded a State Runner-Up in the 6A classification.

Prior to serving on the staff at Louisville Male, Coach Clark was an Offensive Quality Control assistant at Western Kentucky University in 2009.  This was the Hilltoppers’ inaugural year as being bowl eligible in Division 1 FBS football. Coach Clark began his coaching career at Logan County High School where he served as the Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks Coach for the Cougars from 2004-2008. Coach Clark has a Masters of Arts in Special Education from Kentucky State University.  Clark graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Athletic Coaching from Western Kentucky University.   He graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2003. 

Coach Clark is married to Mariah Clark (formerly Mariah Hammons native of Glasgow, Kentucky) who is a teacher at Reidland Middle School.  The have two children, Kinley Grace Clark (8 years old) and Elliot Peyton Clark (1 year old). Coach Clark is excited to bring the message of “Win The Day” to McCracken County High School, which he believes is the best opportunity in the state of Kentucky.  He believes that success and achievement are not merely acts of happenstance, but they are accomplished through the process of focusing our energies on daily tasks that will develop us mentally, physically, academically, and socially.  If we are to embody “Win The Day”, then we must understand that daily pursuit of excellence that must not waiver or diminish.   The declaration comprised of three words will be the cornerstone of the McCracken County Mustang Football Program and their pursuit of championships.



Cary White

Cary is a 1986 graduate of Lone Oak High School and played football, basketball and baseball for the Flash then attended WKU in Bowling Green. For 13 seasons he was Offensive Coordinator for the LOMS football team. White came to MCHS in 2013 to become the Freshman football Head Coach for two seasons and is now the Director of Football Operations and varsity running backs coach for the Mustangs

Jeff Cima
Position: Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Coach

Coach Cima is in his 5th year as Defensive Coordinator and Linebacker Coach with the Mustangs.   Cima has 30 years of coaching experience, with 23 years being a Coordinator.  Coach Cima worked 8 years at Carterville High School and 12 years at Marion High School, both in Illinois.  He won a State Title in 1996, made 2 semi-final appearances, four quarterfinal appearances, and won 13 conference titles.Coach Cima has been married 28 years to his wife Lauralyn.  They have to children, Derek, 24 and Devyn, 20  


Kelly Glass

Coach Glass is starting his 5th season as a football coach and councelor at  McCracken Co. High School. Before coming to coach at McCracken,   He served for 27 years as  Athletic Director, Dean of students and Head football coach at Massac Co. High School.  Under his leadership the Patriots made 13 appearances in The Illinois State Playoffs. Coach Glass was inducted into the Illinois High School Coaches Association "Hall of Fame" in 2007. He and his wife Cathe have two sons Toby & Jake, a daughterMcKense and five grandchildren Riley, Piper, Sam, Ceeley & Ella with another baby boy on the way. Coach Glass and Cathe have been blessed with their immediate family, the church family and the 37 years of their football family.


Steve Etheridge
Position: Offensive Coordinator/Line Coach

Steven Etheridge is in his 3rd year as the offensive line coach for the Mustangs. Prior to arriving at MCHS, Coach Etheridge spent the last four years serving as the offensive line coach for his alma mater at MacMurray College in central IL. Before beginning his coaching career at MacMurray, Coach Etheridge was a three year starter on the offensive line for the Highlanders, in which he earned All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors. Coach Etheridge holds a B.S. in Physical Education from MacMurray College and a M.S. in Sport Management from American Public University. Coach Etheridge is excited to be a member of the McCracken County football program.

Dylan Sonnek
Position: JV Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Coach

Dylan graduated from Murray State University with bachelor’s degrees in elementary education and special education, as well as a master’s degree in reading and writing.  He has coached football for 10 years at the high school level.  His coaching career began at Trigg County High School, his alma mater, where he spent 5 years coaching running backs, quarterbacks, and linebackers.  He also served as both the freshman and JV coach during his tenure.  Dylan continued his coaching career at Calloway County High School where he was the Offensive Coordinator for 3 years and the Defensive Coordinator for one year.  Dylan is employed by Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School as the Autism/Behavior Specialist in the Special Education Unit.  Dylan has helped on the defensive side of the football where he coaches inside linebackers.  Dylan is excited about being part of the Mustang family. #WinTheDay


Jeffery Sturm

Coach Sturm has been a teacher and coach in McCracken County for seven years.  This will be Coach Sturm’s 3rd year coaching football at McCracken County.  Prior to coaching football Coach Sturm was a cross country coach for five years, and is currently an assistant with the boys basketball team at McCracken County. Prior to becoming a teacher, Coach Sturm was a student athletic trainer at the University of Kentucky where he worked with the football, basketball, and baseball teams.  He also spent two summers interning with the Denver Broncos.  Coach Sturm and his wife, Amanda, live in Paducah with their two year old son.


David Dobbins

David Dobbins is in his second stint as the defensive backs coach at McCracken County High School.  He led the defensive backs during the 2013-2014 season where they pulled in approximately 22 interceptions as a unit.  Dobbins enjoys coaching and looks forward to the challenge of positively developing the young men both on and off the field. Dobbins’ college career started at the University of Tennessee-Martin.  He played football during the 1999-2000 seasons where he served as the sophomore team captain.  Dobbins was also selected in the spring of 2001 as an Outstanding Football Student Athlete.  He transferred to Foothill College for the 2001 season.  He was a member of the 2001 Silicon Valley Bowl Champions where the Foothill College Owls finished the year ranked 20th nationally in NJCAA.  He earned an associate degree from Foothill College and then transferred to Murray State University to complete his undergraduate studies in business administration.  He played wide receiver while at Murray State and was a member of the 2002 Ohio Valley Conference Champions where the Racers finished the year ranked 20th nationally in NCAA D1-AA.

Dobbins serves as a volunteer at Southern Illinois University’s Elite Football camp and the George Wilson S.A.F.E.T.Y Foundation Sports Fest. Dobbins is a Paducah native. He played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track for Paducah Tilghman High School.
David Dobbins is a member at Reidland church of Christ.  He is married to Charidy.  


Eric Fennell

Erik is a 2008 graduate from Hillsborough High School in Tampa, FL. In 2012 he graduated from Murray State University with his Bachelors Degree and in 2016 with his Masters Degree. While attending Murray State University Erik, played Safety for the Murray State Racers. This is Erik's first year with the Mustangs. Erik is married to Dana.


Aaron Swain 
Position: Team Athletic Trainer

Aaron graduated from Murray State University in Dec 2013 with his bachelors degree in Exercise Science: Athletic Training emphasis. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree from Murray State in Human Development & Leadership with an emphasis in Youth and Non-Profit. He worked as a Graduate assistant athletic trainer for women's volleyball at Murray State University as well as a Teaching Assistant in the Exercise Science department at Murray State teaching labs in Exercise Physiology and Exercise Prescription. 

I have one daughter, Jaci (9 years old) and most of my free time revolves around her and her activities. I enjoy coaching at the youth level and have coached baseball, basketball, football, and softball.
