Managing and Coaching is a rewarding and fun experience for a parent; it might also test your patience with your own child in ways you never imagined, but hey – it’s still rewarding and fun. If you are interested in volunteering for either of these highly rewarding roles, please email the commissioner of the division your child will play in (contact information for each division is at Spring League descriptions), AND register as a volunteer during the registration process, selecting "manager" or "coach" as appropriate.
Outside of managing and coaching, Little League needs an ARMY of other volunteers to be successful – it’s a lot of fun. You can register as a volunteer when you sign your kiddo up for baseball or email us at [email protected]. Our current opportunities:
Major Events Chair: Our Major Events Chair, Natasha Kindergan, is going to retire after the 2024 Season. We need a well-organized parent willing to shadow Natasha this year as she takes us through the paces of our Opening Day Parade and Ceremony; organizes events like the Coach’s Huddle and Coach’s BBQ; brings the joy that is Super Saturday; and works with the SF Giants to set up Mill Valley Little League Day at Oracle Park. The successful candidate will be calm, cool and collected even when everyone around him or her is running around with their hair on fire. Photographers: Talented behind the lens? We need a crew of photographers who can attend games and get photos of our Mill Valley ball players doing what they do best. We also need someone to coordinate all these photographers! Email us at [email protected] if you’re up for it.
Fields: Our fields need plenty of TLC. This fun outdoor opportunity might result in YOU getting to drive our tractor (the Ferrari). Contact our Fields Coordinator, Jon Schick, at [email protected] if you, too, dream of driving an old red or green tractor around a baseball diamond.
Snack Shack: Our beloved snack shacks – Susie’s Place at Minors and Chris & Vin’s at Majors - are staffed by young people from throughout our community. But so much goes on behind the scenes! Adult volunteers can help with maintaining inventory (Costco trips), scheduling, supervision of young people, and helping us with our community partnerships. Merchandise: Our merch team sources, orders, and distributes our excellent collection of MVLL shirts, hats, hoodies and more. The team is led by Elena Calabrese ([email protected]) and Eliza Lochner ([email protected]), and help is welcomed, especially on big days like Opening Day Parade and during the playoffs.
