Our program goal is to develop character & confidence in children thru competition in youth football & cheerleading by fostering the life lessons inherent within the game, while stressing academics & community involvement.
The Weston Warriors Youth Tackle Football & Cheerleading Program was formed in 1995. As a pioneer member of the American Youth Football League (AYFL), after a 5 yr stint in Pop Warner beginning in 2017, the Warriors moved to South Florida NYFL in 2022, and back to Pop Warner in 2024 at the Greater Miami South Florida Chapter https://www.popwarner.com

Divisions for Football range from 5 to 14 yrs old & Cheerleading from 5 yrs old to 16. Pre-season Conditioning Camp is included and runs from May to July for Football and June to July for Cheer. Regular season practices start August 1st. We also offer a Football Camp in Summer to compliment the Football Program (see Football Camp Tab). Other than 6U (2-3 days), Football teams practice 4 days per week during the regular season at Tequesta Trace Park. Cheer will typically practice Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the regular season.
Competitive Games begin late August including sideline cheerleading & continue 8 consecutive weeks (to mid Oct). All age divisions play on Saturday, starting with the youngest division, immediately followed by the next age group until all games are complete. 14U Football may play mid day. Approximately half of the games are played at Home (Tequesta Trace Park) with the other half in Dade, Broward or Palm Beach Counties.
Qualifying Football Teams proceed in playoff competition until a League Super Bowl Champion is determined toward the end of October or early November. League Champions continue in Regional Playoff Competition in November, with Regional Championships Thanksgiving weekend. Regional Champions compete for a National Championship the 1st week in December at camping World Stadium in Orlando.
There is a Local Cheer Competition for League participants in October. Cheer teams may continue on to Regional Competition during Thanksgiving weekend & Nationals the 1st week in December in the Orlando area.
We are the only Official Track Program in the City of Weston since 2023. Registration opens in December. The regular season begins the 1st week of January & continues until the Local Qualifying Meet at the end on April or early May. Athletes that qualify at this Local Meet may continue as long as they continue to qualify for no additional registration fee. Athletes must register for AAU, cost of which is Excluded. Your athlete is not required to attend track meets, but if they do, they must register for the Meet & pay a nominal fee which is not included in the registration fee. Uniforms are provided for those that participate in the Track Meets.
We promote good sportsmanship, a family atmosphere and ask that you support all of our Youth Athletes by volunteering & attending as many games as possible.
