REGISTER FOR THE GIRLS SPRING TRAVEL TEAMS NOW!

Our 2021 Girls Spring Travel Season is right around the corner! The LYBL will be playing the Southeastern Connecticut Regional Girls Basketball League this spring. Our season is normally held in the winter, but this year, the league moved to the spring in order to hold games outdoors due to COVID-19 concerns. The girls will still wear masks and socially distance, but games will be at outdoor courts in the local area (Ledyard, New London, Preston, etc.). Spectators will be authorized as long as they are also masked and distanced. We have three levels available - Micro (3rd and 4th grade), Juniors (5th and 6th grade), and Seniors (7th through 10th grade). For Seniors, the players must not have played at any level of a high school program in accordance with CIAC rules. We will still practice inside in Ledyard schools when there is inclement weather. The season will run from April through June 5th with no games held over Memorial Day Weekend. Games will be on Saturday mornings, and we are working with Ledyard Little League and Soccer Club to try to work around their schedules as well. Tryouts for the teams will be Friday, March 26th at Gales Ferry School from 6:15 - 9:00 PM. Time slots will be assigned within that block by age group once registration is complete. Registration is open NOW and will remain open until March 25th. Uniforms are the same as in previous years and as are used in the Mixed Divisions You do not need to purchase another uniform if your child played this winter or in previous seasons, and the uniform still fits and is in good condition.
