New State Director Elected

District Administrator Carmine Conti, DA of New Jersey District 7, was elected to the position of NJ State Little League Director, effective October 1. The election took place at the bi-annual meeting of all New Jersey District Administrators on April 27 in East Brunswick. Carmine, a resident of Lambertville, N.J., has been a District Administrator for New Jersey District 7 for the last 14 years and has served as a Little League volunteer for over 38 years. His service to Little League started as a coach at the age of 16 and since then he has coached and managed for approximately 30 years. After serving as the Vice President of Baseball for Princeton Little League for six years, Conti served as an Assistant District Administrator for eight years before taking over in his current role as DA. Carmine also serves as a member of the President’s Advisory Board for Little League International.

Carmine succeeds Tony Richardson, DA NJ 11, who has served as State Coordinator since 2006 when he succeeded Joe Graziano, long-time State Director, for whom the State Little League Tournament is named. During Tony’s 13-year tenure, he also served a term on the Little League International Board of Directors.

Congratulations to Carmine and a well deserved thanks to Tony for his commitment, dedication and many years of service to the State Association and Little League International.
