ANDERSON, MILICIA SWEEP SOCON WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

Greenville, S.C. – Furman's Kyndal Anderson was named Southern Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Arianna Milicia was tabbed as SoCon Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

The sweep of the league's weekly awards marked the first for the Paladins, who have captured two offensive and two defensive players of the week citations so far this season.

Anderson, a redshirt freshman from Acworth, Ga., netted a goal in each of Furman's two victories this past week to help the Paladins up their record to 8-4-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the SoCon. Her seven goals on the season are tied for second most in the league and pace the Paladins through 13 matches.

With 2-0 victories over preseason league favorite UNCG on Friday and VMI on Sunday, Milicia helped Furman remain unbeaten in the SoCon and run its streak of consecutive shutouts to three matches. The right back and Greenville, S.C., native also added an assist on Anderson's second half tally in the Paladins' 2-0 win over the Keydets.
