O'HEARN GARNERS SEPTEMBER SOCON PLAYER OF THE MONTH ACCOLADES

Greenville, S.C. – Furman women's soccer standout Erin O'Hearn has been named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Month for September, it was announced on Thursday afternoon by the league office.

O'Hearn, a native of Savannah, Ga., tallied a goal and three assists while helping Furman to four shutouts during the month of September. The center back scored on a 30-yard free kick in a 2-0 win at Kennesaw State and added assists in victories over Elon and Presbyterian. She also assisted on Furman's first goal in a 3-2 loss to the PAC 12's Oregon Ducks.

During September, O'Hearn guided the Paladins to a 4-3-1 record, including a 1-0-1 mark in SoCon play.
