REILLY NAMED SOCON OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Greenville, S.C. – Furman senior Caitlyn Reilly has been named Southern Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

The Charleston, S.C. native made the most of her return to her hometown this past weekend by tallying two goals and adding an assist for the Paladins in two matches at the College of Charleston Under Armour Invitational. This season marks the first in which the SoCon has honored an offensive and defensive player of the week.

After setting up Furman's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to UNCW on Friday afternoon, the midfielder rallied the Paladins to a 2-1 victory over the host Cougars on Sunday afternoon by netting a pair of goals in a 2-1 triumph. With the Paladins trailing 1-0, Reilly rocketed a 23-yard shot into the side netting in the 44^th minute to even the match just moments before halftime. She pushed the Paladins in front in the 75^th minute taking a low cross from Jasmine Greene and punching a shot past the CofC goalkeeper from the top of the six-yard box for the final 2-1 margin.
