Clutch 11u Runner Up at USSSA Bat Awakens

Indy Clutch 2020 11U stayed in it until the end, but Diamond Dawgs pulled away late in a 10-7 victory on Sunday.  The game was tied at seven with Diamond Dawgs batting in the top of the fourth when an error scored one run for Diamond Dawgs.

Indy Clutch 2020 11U collected 14 hits and Diamond Dawgs had six in the high-scoring affair.

Diamond Dawgs opened up scoring in the first inning, when Brett W threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Diamond Dawgs.

After Diamond Dawgs scored two runs in the top of the second, Indy Clutch 2020 11U answered with two of their own.  Diamond Dawgs scored when #21 grounded out, scoring one run.  Indy Clutch 2020 11U then answered when Braydon Y doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run and Will C singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Indy Clutch 2020 11U tallied five runs in the third inning.  The offensive onslaught by Indy Clutch 2020 11U was led by Canon C, Michael B, Brady G, Luke C, and Tyler H, who each had RBIs in the inning.

#14 was the winning pitcher for Diamond Dawgs. He went three innings, allowing seven runs on 11 hits, striking out one and walking zero.  #3 and #21 entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.  #21 recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Diamond Dawgs.

Brett took the loss for Indy Clutch 2020 11U. He went two innings, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out one.

Indy Clutch 2020 11U saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game.  Gavin B, Canon, Braydon, and Logan M each collected multiple hits for Indy Clutch 2020 11U.  Gavin led Indy Clutch 2020 11U with three hits in three at bats
