Clutch 8u captures lead late to win the USSSA Shamrock Showcase

Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U defeated Southern Indiana Dragons Orange 8u 22-21 on Sunday thanks to a walk-off single.  The game was tied at 21 with Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U batting in the bottom of the sixth when Jaxon F singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U was boosted by Jack M who went 4-for-4 at the plate.  Jack singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

Southern Indiana Dragons Orange 8u got things moving in the first inning.  Southern Indiana Dragons Orange 8u scored two runs when Grayson D tripled.

After Southern Indiana Dragons Orange 8u scored five runs in the top of the second, Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U answered with five of their own.  Southern Indiana Dragons Orange 8u scored when Quinn W doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Grayson doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Max R singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Henry N doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.  Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U then answered when Camden P homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs, Jaxon singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Jack singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U tallied six runs in the fifth inning.  The big inning was thanks to singles by Easton E, Jack, and Zach M, a triple by Corbyn  H, and a double by Jaxon.

Zach led things off on the hill for Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing 29 hits and 22 runs while striking out five and walking zero.

Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U socked one home run on the day. Camden had a homer in the second inning.

Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U tallied 34 hits.  Easton, Camden, Jaxon, Corbyn , Jack, Zach, Brayden  W, Jacob B, Conner D, and Jagger P each racked up multiple hits for Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U.  Easton went 5-for-5 at the plate to lead Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U in hits.  Indy Clutch Indy Clutch 8U didn't commit a single error in the field. Easton had the most chances in the field with five.

Southern Indiana Dragons Orange 8u tallied 29 hits in the game.  Lane W, Max, Grayson, Noah D, Wyatt H, Landyn R, Wyatt G, Quinn, Henry, and Eli S each collected multiple hits for Southern Indiana Dragons Orange 8u.
