Welcome Zach Crooks to the staff

Welcome Zach Crooks to the Indy Clutch Coaching Staff! Zach will be taking the heading coaching position for our 11u Clutch Blue team in 2022.

Get to know Zach:

Zach Crooks has been coaching baseball for the past 19 years. He played high school baseball at Carroll High School (Fort Wayne) and was a 3 year varsity letterman as a catcher. He completed his senior year as the All-Area Catcher. He started coaching youth baseball during his junior year as well. Zach continued his catching career at Huntington University where he was a 4 year varsity letterman. During his college years, he spent his summers coaching high school players. He spent 1 season with the Sluggers out of Fort Wayne.
 
Zach started coaching college catchers, pitchers, and hitters after completing his undergraduate degree at Huntington University. He spent 3 seasons coaching at Huntington while he completed his graduate degree in mental health counseling. After completing his degree, he moved down to Indianapolis and began coaching at Decatur Central High School for 2 years. Zach then went back to coaching youth baseball for the past 10 years.
 
Zach is a licensed mental health counselor. During his undergraduate studies, he spent time learning sports psychology and positive psychology. He has taken his expertise in psychology and applies it to his coaching style by learning players learning style, teaching skills based off their style, and additionally teaching them positive mindset.
