About Our Programs

The Spring Season is the highlight of the year at Hamilton, bringing in about 250 participants.  Our league offers in-house rec teams and travel teams.  Try-outs for the Hamilton Hammers travel teams begin in February for divisions 10U and older.

The annual Opening Day Parade and Ceremonies take place the last Saturday in April, and the season winds down in the middle of June.  Travel teams continue to play during the summer, competing in tournaments within a wider geographic region.

We accept players as young as five-years-old in our Spring Clinic Program.  Practice drills and game formats evolve at a steady pace through all of our age divisions until finally reaching the 13-15 Senior League, when players follow virtually all the standard rules of baseball, and play on a full-sized 90-foot diamond.

Players ages 15-18 may continue playing with Hamilton through our affiliation with RBI.  Our RBI team begins practices and games in late spring/early summer as our younger programs are winding down.

Our travel teams continue play with a regular Fall Season beginning in early September.  Our in-house Fall Rec Program is growing, with nearly 50 participants returning to focus on eight weeks of baseball drills and fundamentals training.

Registration fees help cover the costs of uniforms, balls, gear, and umpire fees.  Travel teams are occasionally responsible for sharing the cost of tournament fees out-of-pocket.  Each family is expected to contribute volunteer hours, or assist with fundraising efforts on behalf of the league to cover operational costs (which are not covered by registration fees).  Participation in both is of course welcome!
