All-Star Tournament Eligibility
Tournament play has been judged to be a desirable and beneficial phase of Little League Baseball. It gives children a chance to experience travel and association with players from other leagues. Most of all, it gives children the chance to play Little League Baseball at its highest level. We at Central Little League believe the All-Star Tournament is a wonderful experience where players grow in their baseball abilities by leaps and bounds, and strong friendships form with teammates and families throughout the summer. We encourage all Majors and Upper Minors players and their families to consider all stars play for their children in both baseball and softball.
The tournament is really 4 tournaments divided into different age groups that include Majors (10/11/12), 9/10/11, 8/9/10 and 7/8/9. Both baseball and softball tournaments are offered. For the 2023 Season we are expecting to field all-star teams for the Majors division (10/11/12 yo) and the 8/9/10 yo division for baseball. Softball likely will not have an all-star program this year but we will update this page if that changes.
If your child is selected to the team, he or she must be committed to the team for as long as the team progresses in tournament play. Currently, the District tournament is usually scheduled to begin around June 24th with practices beginning on June 1st.
