COVID Guidelines Impact Sports-



A.    General Guidelines-

1.    Hand sanitizer and masks available for those who need or wish to use.

2.    It is required that spectators wear masks when not sitting and watching the games and are up moving around.  We ask that during game time all spectators try and remain seated while watching the games/practices. 

3.    Families need to social distance as best as possible during games and then when arriving and leaving the fields.  Families don’t need to gather when the games end and walk in large groups to the vehicle area. 

4.    Only immediate families and relatives are allowed to attend each game that is being played as long as you have a child participating.  It is recommended that attendees not to come early or stay later for additional games to watch. 

5.  Everyone entering the building for IMPACT SPORTS will be required to have the temp taken each week and for practices.  Coaches will be required for practices once a week.  We will have the temp stands or volunteers taking temps on game days.  

Basketball

1.    We will plan on 5-person teams controlled by positions.  This will help maintain the appropriate distancing recommended by the VDH and CDC.

2.    Two coaches per team are required to help maintain the safe distancing between players as best as possible by keeping the players in their respective positions. 

3.    Athletic gloves are being required to help keep contact low. 

4.    We will sanitize the basketballs as often as possible most likely in between practices and in between games.

5.    We will provide gaiter style cloth face masks included in registration fees and extras/replacements will be $4 each or you can purchase your own.   These are required to be worn when entering or walking around at all non-athletic times.    Players are not required to wear these practicing, warm ups or game time.  

6.    Family’s need to space themselves accordingly for spectating and maintain social distancing.

7.    No handshaking after the games.  It is recommended that the coaches tell the other players good game afterwards. 

8.    These recommendations are based on the USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association).

 4-6th Grade and Up

Additionally -We will have a bag of basketballs and equipment for practices. 

We will require the refs keep social distancing as best as possible and practicle.
