IF YOU VOLUNTEERED IN 2023, YOU WILL NEED TO DO THAT AGAIN IN 2024. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY CONTACT WITH THE PLAYERS

IF YOU DECIDE TO SIGN UP TO BE A VOLUNTEER AT A LATER DATE AFTER YOU REGISTER YOUR PLAYER(S), SIMPLY JUST LOG BACK IN AND CLICK ON THE VOLUNTEER TAB ON THE PANEL ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE WEB PAGE.

ONCE YOU PASS THE BACKGROUND CHECK, RHLL WILL CREATE A COACHES CARD SIGNIFYING YOU ARE APPROVED.  YOU MUST SHOW YOUR CARD AND DRIVER'S LICENSE TO THE UMPIRE OR OPPOSING MANAGER (NON-UMPIRED GAMES).

2024 Concussion Awareness Training

Michigan State Law requires that all coaches have Concussion Awareness Training.  In order to get certified, you must watch a 30 minute video and print out your certificate at the completion of the video (you enter your name at the beginning of the video).  You are required to bring this certificate to every game you plan to coach in and show it to the umpires or opposing manager (non-umpired games).  Previously, once you completed the training, you did not have to do it again in subsequent years.  However, per this change in the law, you must complete online concussion awareness training every three years.  In order for your certificate to be valid for the 2024 season, it must show it was done in either 2022, 2023, or 2024.  Certificates from 2021 and older will not be recognized as official.
