Dear Ladera Little League Volunteers,

We thank you for offering to dedicate your time and energy to Ladera Little League. Please follow the instructions below so that you may serve as a volunteer for the upcoming season.

As of January 1, 2024, all regular volunteers, which includes, but is not limited to, coaches, referees, team parents, and board members, in California MUST have a one-time background check as approved by the California Department of Justice. The purpose of this background check is to identify, and potentially exclude, those individuals with a history of conduct that may pose a risk to children at Ladera Little League. This background check requires live scan fingerprinting.

To help streamline the process, Ladera Little League has partnered with ApplicantServices.com. Through this process, we have negotiated a reduced price of $25 per volunteer to be covered by Ladera Little League. A list of approved Live Scan service centers can be found on the Applicant Services website.

Please note, this process has been negotiated specifically for Ladera Little League. You will need to register via the link provided below to receive the reduced price covered by the league and to ensure the information is sent to Ladera Little League directly from the California Department of Justice.

Please note that Live Scans are not transferrable from another organization, so you need to perform this process for each applicable organization you volunteer with. The good news is that this is a one-time requirement.

To fulfill the Live Scan fingerprinting requirement, please follow these instructions:

1. Click on the link to register: www.ApplicantServices.com/LADLLB
2. Enter your email
3. You will receive a 6-digit code in your email inbox
4. Enter the 6-digit code to initiate the transaction
5. Complete the prompted sections
   1. Use LEGAL NAME, must match Government Issued ID
   2. ID will be checked at scan site
   3. Choose location (enter the desired zip code, or city)
   4. Select a time
   5. Watch instructional video and review privacy notice
   6. Print form
6. Upon completion of the online portion, you will receive a confirmation email containing a 7-capital-letter "Payment ID," which you will need during fingerprinting session.
7. Attend the fingerprinting service center at your appointment time, ensuring you have the 7-letter Payment ID ready to provide to the operator
   1. Bring printed form or save to your phone
   2. Bring government issued ID

If prompted to enter a "Group Code," use LADLLB.
