We have some exciting news!  Hermiston Little League is pleased to announce that we were chosen as the Western Region Winner for 2025 Best Safety Program.  There are five Little League Regions in the United States with the West Region encompassing the twelve Western States.  With thousands of Little League organizations in the Western Region, it is quite an honor to be chosen for this award.  HLL is so proud of our commitment to the safety of our athletes, volunteers and families.

Two representatives of Hermiston Little League, Chris Carter and Ryan Corey, were flown to Williamsport by Musco Lighting to attend the Little League world series, attend the awards banquet and receive the award!  We want to thank Little League International, Musco Lighting and AIG Insurance for their recognition of our program. 

Introduced in 1995 and long the pacesetter in youth sports safety, Little League has taken the lead with the development of ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program).  With the help of corporate sponsors, Musco Lighting and AIG Insurance, ASAP has increased overall safety awareness, reduced injuries by 80% and lowered insurance costs for participating leagues.

Leagues are encouraged to create and implement a safety manual containing 15 basic requirements, with the idea that this basic safety plan can be expanded and enhanced to meet the needs of the individual league.

The ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program) Award recognizes Little League programs for creating and implementing excellent safety plans.
