Ashley has been playing volleyball for 10+ years, including four years at Pickens High School, where she was a member of the 2006 State Championship team and the 2007 State runner-up team. She is a graduate of the Greenville Tech College Personal Training program, and is nationally certified as a Personal Trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine. She has her Associate's Degree in Sports Fitness. Ashley developed the Easley YMCA's Athletic Performance Training program. She previously interned at Performance QSA in Greenville and ran the Performance QSA workouts for Carolina One's Pickens team in 2011-2012.
