About Kevin

Kevin Schmidt has been playing and coaching volleyball since 2000. An avid baseball player from Sonora, CA (the mountains, not the beach), Kevin stumbled across volleyball playing for fun while studying Organizational Communication at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. He fell in love with the sport and began to play competitively in indoor and outdoor leagues in the Greenville area. In 2006, he took the varsity girls' volleyball head coach position at Wilton Christian School in Wilton, CA. He coached there until 2010, leading the team to 3 league championships.

After returning for his Master's in Educational Leadership at BJU from 2010-2012, he got on a plane bound for the island of Guam. He served as the Athletic Director at Harvest Christian Academy on Guam until 2017. While overseeing the sports programs there, he coached the middle school girls' volleyball team, directed elementary, middle and high school girls and boys summer volleyball camps and continued to play in indoor and outdoor leagues.

Kevin came back to Greenville in the Fall of 2017 to work at his alma mater as an international student advisor.
