Elmhurst Lacrosse is a non-profit organization, run by parent volunteers, dedicated to the development and instruction of boys’ lacrosse. We accept players in 2nd through 8th grade. HOWEVER, boys are placed on teams based on US Lacrosse guidelines.

Team Formation: As we enter our second year in the IBLA (Illinois Boys Lacrosse Association), we are wiser and more experienced.  Following our last season's highs (4th Grade IBLA CHAMPIONS!!!) and lower points, we realized we need to adapt and make adjustments to our ELAX teams to remain competitive, promote safety and have fun.  We have amazing talent in Elmhurst - we can and will succeed!  To that end, the ELAX 5th/6th (U12) and 7th/8th (U14) grade teams will be skill based.

In February, players will be evaluated on multiple criteria by independent lacrosse evaluators.  Players who are selected for the higher tiered teams will need to commit to ELAX above all other sports during the ELAX season.  Our ELAX players in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade levels (U8 and U10) will continue to be evaluated and placed on evenly balanced teams building on the skills to success at their age. Please tentatively mark your calendars for Feb. 23 and March 2 for mandatory evaluations for all levels.

Boys have at least twice weekly practices for 90 minutes, depending on team. The days and times may vary due to volunteer coaching schedules and field availability.

Cost for the season is $400, however we offer a $50 Early Bird Discount if you register before December 1st.  This does not include equipment. Boys will be required to purchase or rent equipment prior to the season.  Registration for the 2019 season will close on 01/11/2019.  As a non-profit organization, your registration fees go towards uniforms, field rental - indoor and outdoor, IBLA league fees, insurance, professional coaching, skills training, and more.  ELAX registration fees are non-refundable due to the commitment of costs we make prior to evaluations of our players.

Our mission is to (1) provide the youth of Elmhurst and surrounding areas with an inclusive and fun environment for kids of all skill levels to learn and participate in the game of lacrosse; and (2) to prepare the youth of Elmhurst and surrounding areas with the basic skills and understanding of the game to compete at the high school level.

We can't wait for our 2019 season to get underway!!!
