McCormick Ranch, located in Scottsdale, is one of the largest planned communities in Arizona. In 1942, Fowler and Anne McCormick bought a ranch and home on 160 acres located at what is today the corner of Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads. Fowler McCormick’s two grandfathers were Cyrus McCormick, the inventor of the grain reaper, and John D. Rockefeller. Fowler later became president and chairman of the board of International Harvester. Between 1942 and 1954, Anne and Fowler had begun to purchase parcels of land all around their original parcel.  Eventually the McCormicks had a 4,200-acre working ranch, on which they raised Black Angus cattle (thus the league's nickname of Bulls!).

Scottsdale was incorporated in 1951 and has a long, proud history with baseball. It hosted its first spring training season in the 1950s when the Baltimore Orioles came to town, and its first local Little League® was chartered in 1961. Originally, the Scottsdale area little leagues were in Arizona's District 7 and won 12 district championships between 1961 and 1987 in the Little League Baseball Division (also known as the Majors or 12U Division). In 1987, District 6 was spun-off from District 7. McCormick Ranch Little League has won ten District 6 championships in the Majors Division, second only to North Scottsdale Little League's eleven championships since 1987. McCormick Ranch won the right to represent the state of Arizona at Little League's Western Regional after winning the Major Division's state championship in 1998.  North Scottsdale is the only other Scottsdale area league to have won a state title in Majors (having done so in 1994, 1999, and 2010).

McCormick Ranch Little League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our tax identification number is 86-0777967.
