Little League structures its divisions to allow children to participate in various divisions based on their league age, so that players and parents can have an enjoyable Little League experience.  Little League’s baseball and softball divisions have slight differences regarding the age classification of players that overlap, allowing players to play at the division of play based on their age and experience.  The official age charts below offer the best way to determine a player’s League Age.  Another way to find a child’s age for the upcoming season is to use Little League's League-Age Calculator.

The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the current year for the Spring season, and of the next year for the Fall season. (For example, the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 seasons reference the 2024 Little League Age Chart for Baseball.)	The Age Determination Date for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child on December 31 of the previous year.
