The Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 season. This now applies to MINOR/MAJOR and JR/SR divisions. All divisions are now cancelled. This is not the outcome we were after, as a lot of time, effort, and planning went into making this season possible.
We held out hope for as long as possible that we could begin the season, even as we began to face reduced numbers/interest in playing given the current circumstances. But the proposed regulations and provisions as they stand now for starting up, created too many variables to safely control for all of the children, for example practices, equipment, sanitation, spectators, dugouts, etc.
We are still exploring the possibility of a Fall little league season. This is dependent on a lot of unknown factors and a decision will not be made for some time, however we want families to know we are considering all options.
You have three registration fee options: 1.) donate the fee to Olean Little League (to support continued costs during times), 2.) direct the fee towards your child's registration next season, or 3.) request a refund at point of purchase (online or in person (via check)). You must email [email protected] with your child's name and option. Please email us by July 15th. We will work through all requests in the coming weeks and appreciate everyone’s patience.
