Opening Day details

ENLL's Opening Day is set for Saturday, April 13! It's a day of fun, pride, and baseball!

Below learn what's happening and how you can help ...

But remember ALL PLAYERS SHOULD BE IN UNIFORM.

Planned activities
The morning kicks off with the annual parade of teams -- which we're jazzing up this year (see below for details) -- followed by the singing of the national anthem and recognition of the various folks who make ENLL possible. Once the official ceremonies wind down, the various age groups can participate in skills competitions (including a home-run derby) while others enjoy face painting, a bounce house, our delicious bake sale, and more! Even find out how fast you can pitch!

Don't forget to bring some extra dollars for the raffle baskets, bake sale, and snack stand!

And then stay to see ENLL teams in action! Both our 11 & 12 year olds and our 9 & 10 year olds will hit the fields at 12:15, followed by our 7 & 8 year olds at 2:30.

Schedule
The day kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with the gathering of teams for the parade. The parade begins at 9 a.m. The main program -- which includes the national anthem and the placing of the bases-- begins at 9:45 a.m. Around 10:15 various skills competions will begin; each age group has a set time and field.

Parade details
Our parade through the neighborhood next to Cole Manor begins at 9 a.m., but you need to bring your kids around 8:30.

All parents will drop off their player at the open lot at the corner of Hancock and 202. The lot is across from Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Raffle tickets
We'll raffle off 1 $500 prize, 2 $250 prizes, and 15 $100 prizes as part of the main program. You don't have to be present to win, but you must turn in your tickets before the drawing. So do it early that morning, or if you can't make Opening Day at all, be sure to ask your coach or a teammate's family to turn them in for you.

These are the tickets you received at Grading Day. If you didn't attend Grading Day, the tickets are being mailed to you this week. You have already paid for these tickets as part of your registration fee. So don't toss them or leave them at home on Opening Day -- you could win big money!

Used equipment
Have equipment such as cleats, bats, gloves, helmets, or bags that are still in pretty good condition? Bring them to Opening Day. We'll take them, check their condition, clean them, and get them to a player or organization who needs them! You get rid of some stuff and get to do a good deed too!
