k-12th Grade CCYS Spring Soccer Registration Time:
Practice starts in early March and games start the first weekend of April. Games/Tournaments run into late May.
Practice is 2-3 times a week depending on the coach/grade level. CCYS online registration deadline is March 5th (players will not be placed on a team until the player's registration and payment are completed). Our teams have caps so that everyone gets plenty of playing time; so do not wait until the last minute if you're requesting a specific team/coach as it may already be full. If your account has a past-due balance/ fee from another season, you'll need to pay that before you can register for the new season and or be placed on a new team.
Practice and games are always played rain or shine. With over 50 teams this last season in our CCYS league, we look forward to an awesome and positive season for the youth in our community.
General Soccer Reminders Part 1:
Coaches will call parents with practice details after the team is full/after registration deadline. CCYS will give the coach a printed team roster of registered players for the team. Uniform sizes are verified by the coach and Ali D. during practice and then handed out by the first games played. Game schedules will be posted on our Facebook page and printed off for each player to bring home. The game schedules will be printed off for the entire season.
Practice and games are locked in on a schedule and played rain or shine for all grade levels.
Games will be played on Saturdays (last season our 7th-12th played on Saturdays and Sundays because we had so many teams already playing on Saturdays). Sundays after church hours in the later afternoons we rotate our 7th-12th grade game days. k-3rd play games on Saturdays only. 4th-12th grade play games on Saturdays/Sundays one-two extra weeks into late May for local tournaments.
Our teams are broken down by grade level:
K/1st Grade
2nd/3rd Grade
4th-6th Grade
7th-12th Grade
No player can play down. All players must be registered, or they cannot play. If pre-approved, a player may play up one grade level (case by case and not recommended very often with max of one player per team and not playing 'Up" into the 7th-12th grade bracket). CCYS Custom team uniforms with the player's name and number are included (no extra fees).
**Only official, pre-approved games are played for legal, insurance, and safety reasons**
We will not have a league end-of-the-season awards ceremony for all CCYS teams this season but instead teams may have individual team parties.
Only pre-approved background checked Coaches/assistants can participate with the team during practice and games (background checks are good for a full year, covering the fall and spring seasons). It’s easy to get the coaches/volunteer forms completed.
