JUNIOR ACADEMY - U8 & U9

Our U8 and U9 Jr. Academy programs are meant to be a players introduction to competitive soccer and to the Foothills Academy program. Our Jr. Academy program is tailored towards those players who are further along in their soccer journey and who are looking for a bigger soccer challenge to meet their skills and enthusiasm.

Each team will be coached by an FSC Academy level coach. At these ages, we will focus on teaching soccer skills that will be foundational to playing Foothills style of possession soccer. It will also be a moment to teach players how to train - focus, preparation, responsibility, fun.

We realize that, at these ages, players may have many different activities and sports in their lives. To help accommodate for that, we split the season into 2 segments and players can sign up for either or both. While we would love for players to play both segments, it is not mandatory.

There are no tryouts for the U8 and U9 Jr. Academy age groups. However, FSC may need to limit the number of players at each age group to ensure a healthy coach/player ratio.

Summer/Fall 2021

Season runs from June - October.

Players will receive approximately 50 hours of training by professional coaching staff, along with the ability to play summer jamborees and participate in the OYSA Fall Development league.

June-August
Training 2x per week
No weekend games
1-2 Summer Jamboree Events (Dates TBD).

September-October
Training 2x per week
Weekend games in Fall OYSA Development League (2013s - 7v7, 2014s - 4v4)

If a player born in 2015 feels ready they can register and participate with the 2014 group.

Please note: All training sessions will take place on weekdays during the late afternoon/evenings. Fields are TBD.
