The Foothills Academy program is the competitive side of our soccer club.
The priorities of our Academy are:
Player Development. Every player is on a soccer journey. We strive to create a positive yet challenging soccer environment that can accelerate a player’s growth. Our Academy coaches teach a possession style of soccer that combines personal skills, team tactics, and situational awareness that prepares players to make good decisions on the field that lead to great play.
Competition. Our Academy competes against the best teams in the state through the Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA) as well as through regional tournaments during the summer.
Life-Long love of Soccer. We work to foster a life-long love of soccer in our players so that they continue to participate in the game beyond their youth. The joy of soccer should last a lifetime.
Per US Soccer Federation rules, our Academy competes by birth year. Below is a chart to help connect birth year to soccer age group.
