Youth Soccer Coach
Soccer Club of Oak Ridge

The Soccer Club of Oak Ridge is looking for professional, motivated and progressive coaches to coach competitive youth teams ages 5 to 19.
Responsibilities of a Coach encompass all aspects of running a team within our club, as well as conducting individual and small group training. This includes:

• Planning and running age and level appropriate training sessions
• Organizing and coaching teams on game days
• A commitment to a player development focused training model
• Ensuring the health and safety of players 
• Communicating with parents regarding their child's progress

Hours vary by the age and level of the team. Contracts are for a 12-month period, June 2019 through May 2020.

Our teams compete in Emerald Premier Soccer Fall Leagues, Spring Leagues and State League. Teams also enter a variety of local and regional tournaments.

Candidates should have experience coaching youth soccer players and an extensive knowledge of the game. They should demonstrate an ability to be able to improve the technical skills and tactical comprehension of players in an enjoyable, engaging environment.

A good soccer playing background and an ability to demonstrate techniques is highly desirable.

Candidates should be open-minded and willing to learn and grow as a professional youth coach.  Coaching education is a cornerstone of our program and successful candidates will join a select group of coaches learning together using the latest and most effective training methods.
We offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience and training.

Minimum coaching qualifications required:

USSF D License and/or United Soccer Coaches National Diploma 

Preferred coaching qualifications: 

USSF B License and/or United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma
