Hi I’m Joe Hartle, Co head coach of Hopewell’s 8U AllStar team along with Charles Rossi. We had our first ever tournament, Hopewell Heatwave. First I would like to thank our AllStar Girls. Each one gave everything they had for the last month. We only coach for 2 reasons, to watch these ladies improve and ensure they have fun. Every girl did just that. I thank each one for their effort and smiles.
It was a great tournament with lots of competitive games. Thank you to Blackhawk, Beaver, Laurel, Riverside and Central Valley for joining us. Congratulations to Blackhawk on winning it all. Your girls are awesome and you have a fantastic coaching staff.
As we quickly found out a tournament is a huge undertaking. It takes many people from start to finish to make it successful. We have the best support group in Hopewell and I am so thankful for it. I owe a lot of people thanks. So I figured I’d list them out.
All 8U Parents thank you for your support and allowing your daughters to play on the team and come to all the practices. It can be a roller coaster at times, but you stuck with us.
Dave McCowin, you were unable to make it this weekend but the work you put in every day leading up to the tournament was needed. Thank you.
Parents you rock. Rosanna and Scott Parsons and Lisa McCoy and Andy McCoy thank you for the concession stand and field work. Thank you.

Chris and Kristy. Your coaching and field help is appreciated. Chris we never had to ask. We just turnaround and you were there. Kristy, 1st base isn’t fun without you. And you owned it. Thank you.

Cheyenna, you lived in the concession stand this weekend and thought about every minor detail. You took my biggest worry and made it disappear. As an added bonus you even named the tournament, Hopewell Heatwave. Thank you.
Pete and Nick, you are literally the backbone of this team. Every girl improved because of you. Charles and I appreciate everything you did. It makes me smile knowing that 8U is in unbelievable hands with you two next year. Your passion is obvious. And I will show up at your tournament next year, because our girls will continue to improve under your leadership and I’m sure both of you will provide entertainment as you fight for our team. Thank you.
