Intermediate (50/70) - Little League Baseball
The Intermediate (50/70) division is designed for players age ~13, offering a bridge between the traditional Little League field and the full-size baseball field. This division uses a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths, providing players with a more advanced game experience that includes leading off, pick-offs, and other strategies seen in higher levels of play.
Players continue to develop their skills in hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running while gaining a deeper understanding of game tactics and strategies. The season includes 2-3 practices per week, 16-18 games, and opportunities for postseason play, including the Tournament of Champions (T.O.C.) and eligibility for the Little League All-Star Tournament. Teams will also participate in interleague play, including District 35 teams from Willits and Fort Bragg (north) to Petaluma (south), St. Helena, and neighboring districts.
Parent involvement is required. Families must contribute by volunteering in roles such as coaching, umpiring, scorekeeping, or assisting with team operations and concessions. Active participation helps ensure a successful season for all players.
