Regardless of skill level, SSC’s purpose is player development on and off the field through high level training programs provided by our qualified coaches. As such, SSC’s objective is to make each player a better player (technically, physically, and tactically) thereby enhancing the performance of the teams. The best way to achieve this is for players to attend training sessions and do their homework. That is, players must show commitment to self-improvement by practicing as often as possible on their own, particularly when they are unable to attend training sessions. The life lesson we want to teach our players is that if you work hard, your chances of success will significantly improve and more importantly the player will have earned his or her achievements.
SSC believes that competition among its players, particularly those aged 7 and older is healthy, is a motivating factor, aids in building character, makes players more resolute, and causes players to develop a better attitude toward the game. These attributes are a key feature of the developmental process, provide lifelong lessons for our players, and develop traits that will hone their character as they get older.
