Friday Night Futbol

With the fall season of school sports likely cancelled, club soccer for so many is several months away.  Join Waxhaw Soccer Club's Friday Night Futbol to continue training, competing, and playing the sport you love.

A.     Soccer Game Details:

• Teams will have an 8-week season
• Every team will make the playoffs & be guaranteed one (1) game
• Two 22-minute half games will be played
• One referee per field
• Six (6) field players and one goalkeeper
• Field Dimensions: Standard 7 v 7 field
• Create and customize your own team name

B.      Location:  Western Union Elementary School: 4111 Western Union School Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173

C.      Season Timeline & Schedule: -

·         Week 1: Friday, September 25^th

·         Week 2: Friday, October 2^nd  

·         Week 3: Friday, October 9^th

·         Week 4: Friday, October 16^th

·         Week 5: Friday October 23^rd

·         Week 6: Friday, October 30^th

·         Week 7: Friday, November 6^th

·         Week 8: Friday, November 13^th

·         Playoff Day 1: Friday, November 20^th  

·         Playoff Day 2: Saturday, November 21^st

 D.     Team Classification Guidelines:

·         Teams will check in on site approximately 30 minutes before their first match.

·         Teams must be composed of current high school students (14 – 19 years old).

·         Teams can be co-ed, but not mandatory.

·          Each team will field no more than seven (7) players and no less than five (5) players at a time.

·         Substitutions: Each team may make unlimited substitutions at any stoppage of play after getting the approval from the referee. Players must enter at the half line and exit across the touch line nearest to their technical area

C.      Rosters:

·                     Roster:  Max: 12

·                     Roster:  Minimum: 7

·                     Roster:  Each player must register through the Waxhaw Soccer Club Website

Registration Process

A.     Team Registration:

•  Registration Fee: $500 per team (includes the following below)
•  Free soccer training session on Wednesday nights
• A soccer jersey for each player
• Team payment must be paid in full prior to schedule release date 
• Team Registration Documents:

*Free parking will be included; however, due to COVID-19 regulations, each team player will be limited to invite no more than two (2) family members. Everyone must sit at least six feet apart with face coverings or masks, which is highly recommended to ensure a successful full soccer season.
