Yearly Volunteer Positions

We are now accepting letters of interest for our yearly volunteer positions to help sustain this organization. We are all volunteers. It takes all of us to make the Football/Cheer Season happen. Below is a summary of the available roles. Anyone that is interested any of these roles, they are required to submit a letter of interest to our email address ([email protected]). See the Volunteer Openings page for details on the letter of interest.

Coaches will be required to be required to agree to the position agreement and code of conduct required by JDYFL.
Football Coaches (levels TBD)
Cheer Coach
Cheer Assistant Coaches (2-3 positions)

Co- Team Managers (two per Division/age group)
·       Present at registration and conditioning to collect paperwork to establish “the book” for the division
·       Responsible for maintaining “the book” for that division
·       Present at equipment issue events to ensure players have necessary paperwork in “the book” to receive equipment from the Equipment Manager
·       Ensures that “the book” is present at ALL practices and games
·       Responsible for communicating the Head Coach’s practice updates
·       Responsible for coordinating with the Area Rep for communication game schedules, updates, and cancelations
·       Responsible for taking complaints from the division members to the Vice President
·       Responsible for submitting an email contact list for all players/guardians to the Secretary
·       Responsible for communicating any Health/Safety policies/changes/etc. to the division’s players and guardians

Equipment Manager 

·       Responsible for equipping each football player and cheerleader with an appropriate fitting uniform at the beginning of each season
·       Ensure the proper maintenance and storage of all football uniforms, cheer uniforms, and equipment throughout the season
·       Be responsible for the storage of the uniforms and equipment until the next season
·       Maintain an inventory of all football and cheer uniforms and equipment
·       Ensure all football equipment is within state and national guidelines in accordance with the constitution’s rules and regulations
·       Provide updates to the GDYF board on equipment expiration and inventory needs

Fundraising Coordinators (2 positions)

There will be two fundraising coordinators. The coordinators will have the responsibility for the tally of all fundraising orders and ensure the monies are correct prior to releasing the monies to the GDYF Treasurer.
·       Responsible to form and coordinate all fundraising activities on an annual basis
·       Develop a fundraising plan and submit to the GDYF Board for approval
·       Provide a monthly status report of fundraising progress to the GDYF Board
·       Perform any promotional communications needed to parents after review of the GDYF Board
·       All fundraising monies will be handed over to the GDYF Treasurer in a timely manner to ensure security and accuracy
