Team Coach Positions - Description and Requirements

We are always looking for volunteer coaches and are ready to train you to become one!

Our goal is to equip volunteer coaches so that they can confidently lead training sessions. With support from the director of coaching, each volunteer coach will learn the game from the ground up (if you’re new to it, or learn more if you’re familiar with it). In order to do this, we commit to providing each volunteer coach with:

  • Explicit instructions and demonstrations to support both technical and tactical skill training including the basics rules of the game, passing, dribbling, positioning, ball movement and more.
  • A full license to The Coaching Manual.  The Coaching Manual is an online platform for coaches of all levels from volunteer beginners to licensed professionals.  It has thousands of pieces of content including drills, practice and season plans.  La Porte FC uses The Coaching Manual as its primary source for its soccer curriculum.
  • Assistance and support from Directors of Coaching every step of the way
