FAQ'S

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Q:  My son is 13 years old and he’s asking for metal cleats for the upcoming season. Are these allowed for the older kids?
  • A:  Yes, 5070 and above, metal cleats are allowed.  Some fields, where we play other leagues, may have restrictions for pitchers to wear metal cleats while pitching (if they have a temporary mound), so it's always good to have a pair of athletic shoes or rubber cleats in their bag as well, just in case.
  • Q:  I was wondering if we could request INSERT COACH NAME as our coach for AAA?
  • A:  We will make the request known in the draft, but in AAA with likely only 3 teams, team parity is the primary goal in the draft.  This keeps the teams competitive.  As such, team requests at this level of play is much more difficult.
  • Q:  How do I determine my kids "little league age?"
  • A:  Click here to visit the Little League's Age Page.
  • Q:  Are you accepting 5 year olds for T-ball?  If not, where is the nearest league?
  • A:  At this time we do not offer Tee Ball.  Our league starts with Machine Pitch Division.   The City of Healdsburg typically offers a "Tee Ball Tune Up" league in the late spring.  Please contact the Community Services/Parks and Recreation department.   But, the Little League age is not based on January 1 age - it's actually based on the League Age as of 8/30/23.  If your player will turn 6 by 9/1/23, they would be considered "Little League Age 6" and be able to play in the machine pitch minor league "A" division
  • Q:  What is your registration refund policy if I register and my son decides not to play.
  • A:  We would offer a full refund up until the team drafts.  After the draft and before Opening Day we would offer 50% refund.  On/After Opening Day no refunds are offered.
  • Q: My player was previously an all star for HLL - do I need to provide the Residency documents at registration?
  •  A: Players who have been verified through All Stars and have a Player Verification Form on file with the league, and have NOT changed addresses, do not have to provide Birth Certificate or Residency Documents at registration.
