About Us
CNLL gained its independence from Calaveras County Little League in 1993 to be its own entity within District 15. District 15 was first created in 1958 as one of the original 33 California Districts. After it dissolved in 1986, our local youth had to play with District 40. In 1992, District 15 was recreated to have a local district within the Foothills. CNLL now provides the youth of San Andreas, Mountain Ranch, Railroad Flat, West Point, Mokelumne Hill and Paloma with a home to play within Little League International.

OUR VISION:

CHARACTER: By learning the value of teamwork, players can develop life-long character traits to make them good citizens, team members, and hard-workers.

EMPOWERMENT: With the experience of new challenges and adversity, the youth of CNLL develop a sense of self-awareness and courage which leads to empowerment.

PERSERVERANCE: Overcoming any task with a positive attitude, using discipline and self-control.

SPORTSMANSHIP: Promoting and teaching good sportsmanship, positive behavior, and respect.  Members serve as positive role models, teaching good morals and ethics, to promote and foster a safe and healthy environment.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT: Provides a safe and healthy learning environment to enhance experiences, opportunities, and programs.

INCLUSION: Opportunities and resources for participation, growing, training & development.

LITTLE LEAGUE MISSION STATEMENT:

Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball." Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes. Founded in 1939; granted Federal Charter July 16, 1964, by unanimous act of the Senate and House of Representatives of the Congress of the United States of America and signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson as Public Law 88-378, 88th Congress H.R. 9234, and amended December 26, 1974, Public Law 93-551, 93rd Congress, H.R. 8864.  Little League is tax exempt. Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions within the league.

CALAVERAS NATIONAL LITTLE LEAGUE ORGANIZATION

Calaveras National Little League (CNLL) is open to boys and girls, ages 5 through 14. This is a non-profit Little League with a focus on developing youth baseball players in a fun and safe environment. Calaveras National Little League (CNLL) does not discriminate against any player on the basis of race, creed, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status. The CNLL Board of Directors governs and administers all league activities.  Each Division shall have one Division Director who is responsible for the dissemination of information and enforcement of Board policy. The Division Director will assist managers and coaches with any concerns that might require Board attention. All questions or concerns should first be addressed to the respective Division Director.

 INTERNET SITE
Our website is https://tshq.bluesombrero.com/cnll.

This site is the source of information about our baseball league.  Please refer to the website as new information is posted on a regular basis.

OPEN REGISTRATION

Calaveras National Little League season registration announcements will be displayed to the citizens within the CNLL region and contiguous communities through signage, email blasts, flyers sent home through CUSD schools, Facebook and via our website. Players may register for league play during the open registration sessions via our online registration tool. The registration fee, established by the CNLL Board at the beginning of each season covers the costs of player uniforms, equipment purchases, snack bar fees, umpires, field maintenance, insurance, mailings and other related League expenses. The registration fees for each season may vary and fees will be increased as needed to cover the costs incurred by CNLL. The final drop date for a full refund, if an official drop request is submitted, is before uniform hand-outs. If an official drop request is submitted after the uniform hand-outs, then a partial refund will be given to include the cost of the uniform. Any returned checks will be charged a return check fee.  In the event of a returned check, it is the responsibility of the party issuing the check to arrange for registration payment to CNLL.

SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION

Every team needs a sponsor.  Team sponsorship ensures the success of our non-profit Little League program.  It is also a way to allow our local business community to take part in our program.  We can all help the youth players have a successful season by becoming or finding a sponsor for a team. Your tax-deductible donation/sponsorship helps defray overall costs.  If you have any questions about sponsoring a team, please contact our Sponsorship & Fundraising Coordinators, Crystal Young at (209)559-1776 or AnnMarie Belders at (209)256-1795.

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT

To be a successful organization, we rely on the volunteer support from players’ parents and family members.  We ask that each family commit to volunteering in a specific volunteer area of your choice.  Volunteer sign-ups will be available at the start of each season.  As part of the Little League organization, all volunteers must have a background check completed.  Background check links will be sent out separately by e-mail.  In lieu of volunteering, there is a $50 non-refundable fee due at registration.  During registration, a $50 Volunteer check, written to CNLL, postdated June 1st will be required for your player to be placed on a team. Once you have completed your volunteer time, your check will be returned to you.

INSURANCE

In the event of a player injury during CNLL activities the players medical insurance will be the primary coverage used to cover any resultant costs.  Secondary medical insurance is provided through CNLL for all players under a general liability/medical insurance policy with deductibles.

UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT

All registered and certified youth players will receive an official CNLL Little League uniform (jersey and hat).  Players will not be allowed to participate in league games unless they are dressed in their regulation uniform along with socks, baseball pants, belt and cleats.

FIELDS

CNLLs main playing fields for all games and practices are at San Andreas Park. When necessary, some other fields may include Railroad Flat Ball Park and Hobbs Field. It is recommended that any other practice site besides the ones on the approved list, should be discussed with the appropriate Division Director.

No smoking or alcohol consumption is allowed at any time at any of the fields or parks used by Calaveras National Little League
.

PRACTICES

Once the coach/manager has received his or her team’s roster, they may immediately schedule practices with their team. Each team should practice at least twice per week before the season, as determined by their manager.

TEAM FORMATION

Team formation is done via a draft, where each manager for each division picks his or her own team, when applicable. Evaluations are usually held about 6 weeks prior to opening day, with the draft happening within a few days following the evaluations. The only exception to this is for the T-Ball and Machine Pitch divisions, in which the teams are put together by the Division Director. Team size will be determined at the close of registration and is dependent on overall capacity as well as available managers.

WAITING LIST

All players registering for the league after the completion of team formations will be placed on a waiting list for possible inclusion onto a team as openings become available.
