Gate City Hornets is a Pop Warner Football and Cheer Organization originally established in 2016 as the Gate City Stars. Gate City Stars changed the name in 2018 to the Gate City Hornets to better our organization. The Hornets are now affiliated with Western Guilford High School and Western Guilford Sports Club. The Hornets is an Organization that Play and Cheer with Pride, Honor, and Respect. Hornets pride themselves on being a Family Oriented Organization, so we treat our parents and players like family.

Gate City Hornets mission is to develop the “whole” student athlete. Hornets strive to impact young people’s character, academics, and athletic development in a team and family atmosphere. Hornets believe that all three components are essential not just for the game but life as well. It is our mission that athletes become a “Winner for Life.”
