ABOUT_
WCLL offers an opportunity for kids and families in southern Warren County to experience the largest, most popular baseball organization in the world.  With over 2.5 million participants and 200,000 teams in all 50 states and over 80 countries, Little League is the premier youth baseball organization.  Second to none.

We are the largest youth baseball organization in the area, drawing kids primarily from the Little Miami and Kings school districts as well as most of the area's private schools like St. Margaret of York, CHCA and St. Columban.  Our families reside in Maineville, Morrow, South Lebanon, Loveland, and Hamiton, Deerfield, Salem and Harlan Townships.  Our younger teams, Tee Ball and 8U (Coach Pitch), play exclusively at Testerman Park in Maineville.  That means no travel to places like Wilmington, Waynesville, Clinton Massie and beyond, like some other youth baseball organizations.  Our older teams play against other Little Leagues from Mason, Lebanon, and Loveland.

WCLL offers recreational baseball that is fun and family friendly and more competitive baseball for kids that have developed their skills and seek greater challenges.  Our 12U teams even have an opportunity to compete for a spot in the Little League World Series (as seen on ESPN) in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Our players wear Major League Baseball replica uniforms.  Our coaches attend a "Skills and Drills" training course.  WCLL has also partnered with Gappers Indoor Baseball Training Facility, located at 8460 Duke Blvd in Mason to provide opportunities for indoor batting cages, private instructions and semi-private lessons.  Instructors at Gappers have all played professional baseball or been successful at major college baseball programs.

All players playing in the same division as last year will have the opportunity to play on the same team this year or they may choose to re-enter the Player Reallocation.  The Player Reallocation is critical to the success of Little League because it allows for greater parity within the league and gives every team an opportunity to be successful.
Opening Day - This is an experience like no other in the area.  The celebration starts with a parade through Maineville, ending at Testerman Park.  All players and teams participate and the parents line the streets of Maineville catching (dodging) candy thrown by the kids.  Once the parade ends at Testerman Park, there is a brief ceremony that includes the singing of our National Anthem.  WCLL will select one or more kids to throw and catch the ceremonial first pitch and, with that, the baseball season is underway.

Games are played through Early June (for Tee Ball) and Mid-Late June (for all other divisions).  We will have a tournament for each division (besides T-Ball) toward the end of the season.  And last but not least, each division will have an All-Star game that recognizes the players on each team that excelled over the course of the year.  The All-Star games feature a PA announcer, music between innings, and a number of other surprises.

Little League is the most well respected youth baseball organization in the world.  It is endorsed and supported by Major League Baseball.  WCLL has also embraced the Little League mission.  Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, Little League assists children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being.  By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, Little League baseball is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.  And along the way, we have a bunch of fun playing a little baseball.

Come see what you've been missing.  On behalf of WCLL, we look forward to seeing you at the ballpark very soon.

Sincerely,
Jamie McDonough
WCLL President
